On Friday, Bruce, Christy, Brad and I enjoyed a dazzling dinner at Laurel Grill & Bar , a phenomenal restaurant in the South End. From there, we watched a production of The Urban Nutcracker. The production is essentially a multicultural interpretation of Tchaikovsky's ballet. It attempts to pull diversity into ballet through incorporating a variety of cultural dance traditions. Proceeds went to underserved youth in Boston.
So, this night was totally up my alley. For anyone who knows me even a little, you know I'm all about the underserved youth of the world. I've dedicated my academic career to offering tools to at-risk urban youth to help them develop academically, socially, emotionally, etc...
We couldn't take pictures in the hall, so I've included 1 picture of Brad and me before we went out. The second picture is of our Christmas tree this year!
