This is an excerpt from an email I sent to Sloan a couple of days ago.
"i was thinking about it and, if i graduate when i expect to, i'll
have been in regular school for 14 years (4-18), college for 4 years (18-22),
and graduate school for 6 years (23-24.5; 25-26.5; 27-30). That is a total of 24
years. That means that I'll have been in school for 80% of my life."
Crazy stats. I'm going to have a huge shock when I enter the world of work. Unless I decide to get another degree...he he...
Weekend was a pretty fun time. Brad spent Friday night at a retreat with his colleagues. He attended a few seminars, ate great food, played some board games, and missed me. My Friday night was fun...dinner with Sloan and Katie (I had some great shrimp) and then the 3 of us went out for our friend, Rod's, birthday. We went to a great pub in the financial district. I felt my age though, thats for sure. When the lights went down, the 21 year olds started shakin' their thang, and the shots came out, I (with Sloan and Katie) left. I was in bed by midnight. Ah!
On Saturday, Brad and I went out on a sushi date. We had some fantastic sake (my new favorite drink as of a few weeks ago when we had it at a restaurant) and delicious sushi.
On Sunday, Brad ran 17 miles, I swam for 1.5 hours, and we both lazed around the condo reading books, chatting, and watching the cats fight.
The cats are fighting right now. Joey just knocked over a stack of over 1000 pages of research that I need to read. Earlier today, when Brad came home from work, he found me reading on the bed with Samantha lying on my back. Very unusual.
Above pictures are from Friday night. I'd include more pictures of Brad but he doesn't take the camera with him when he goes out!
